Good deed token like KARMA is nice and all but where does its value come from? Why would anyone buy it?

I hear you. I am not an EOS expert and heard it is not the easiest of platforms to use.
Take in account EOS is built in a similar way to STEEM.
Also, one of the most most user friendly EOS wallets is built by @jesta, who is and has been doing an outstanding job on the STEEM blockchain too.
His wallet on EOS is called greymass/eos-voter.
Sure, it is still more difficult than operating on the STEEM blockchain, but it's getting easier day by day...
