Learning about the Hebrew Letter Tav
Learning about the last letter of the Hebrew Alphabet over on the @hebrew blog this morning....
Fascinating.
The Hebrew word "Truth" is "emet" made from the letters Aleph Mem and Tav.... The 1st., middle and last letter of the 22 letter Hebrew Aleph Bet....
following with interest, @offgridlife. Hebrew, the Bible, Jerusalem, Israel - anything to do with these I find fascinating. There is a lot being uncovered recently in the old City of David by archaeologists that ties in so closely with events and people in the Bible. There are 2 or 3 YouTube channels now that are covering these discoveries.
Absolutely ... I am surprised that more Christians do not study and learn the Hebrew language... the language spoken by Jesus /God. The more they find on the Archaelogical sites the more they realize that the Hebrew Israelites have existed there for thousands and thousands and thousands of years.
one of the things that I've picked up so far is that if Jesus lived in the Old Testament his name would have been translated from Hebrew to English as Joshua. Jesus is the Greek rendition of his Hebrew name.
In that context was Jesus mentioned in the Old Testament by name? Lots of prophesies about him in the Old Testament, especially in Isaiah but none by name, at least not calling him Jesus.
Check out Zechariah 3:1-8 >> click here to read the passage <<
Very interesting, the ancient Hebrew looks very complex (In my opinion).
Thanks for your post friend @offgridlife
It is an interesting language to learn... especially to understand the Bible.
Again, thank you very much @offgridlife, I'll be waiting for your post.
