My NYSC one year experience added something tangible to my life; it gave me a one-year work experience to add to my CV and this helped me a lot.

I wouldn't say it helped me in other ways as I taught in a secondary school, but maybe I just haven't had the opportunity to use the lessons I was taught for that one year.
