Gratitude Day 46/62: Trust

How do you gain someone's trust? The answer is simple. Be honest! Show that you are honest. Do it again and again. Show that you have integrity. Do it again and again.

Trust is like respect. You cannot demand it from people just by asking. People will trust you because of what you do and what you don't do. It comes with time and track record.

Trust is hard to gain but you could loose it in a second and once it is lost, it can hardly be recovered.

It's good to be honest and have integrity. Being trusted comes with a lot of benefits and opportunities. A few days ago I saw a business opportunity that could make a lot of profit. I knew that people will benefit from this, but how do I communicate it to people? How do I convince people to part with their hard earned money? It was at this moment I realized the need for trust in business. I thought of the people who I have gained their trust because of my past dealings with them. Immediately I told them about the opportunity, they bought into it 101% and invested huge amounts. It is true that people don't buy products. People buy people.

Today is day 46 of my gratitude challenge. I'm grateful for those who have faith in my integrity.
