It does appear that a right wing media company weasel zipper posted the idea of California banning contact lenses about an hour before I posted this here. I hadn't known that, but their article is far more bare bones than mine. In fact I only found them because a an indy radio station rehashed what they said (about 4 hours ago) and the story linked to the weasel's article article.
I had already posted the basic idea a day before in a secret facebook group. I can't really say where as I am a ninja, but some libertarians might know where.

I am sure there are plenty of other people who read the news story and thought the same basic idea (great minds think alike after all) but never put it down in writing-or it is in more obscure places on the web.
