I have recently started a debate in a group i'm in on facebook.

My stance: The bill-C45 is set to pass on the 17th of October, until then Cannabis still remains illegal. Also this is more like decriminilization than it is legalization.

Their stance: Canada decriminlized Cannabis years ago.

As one that considers himself well informed on Cannabis laws in Canada, when did this happen? I have come across countless failed attempts, but never anything that actually passed through.

Give me a little help here or enlighten me please. Sources please!
