Same sentiment here. A small socialist state can royally screw themselves up. A larger entity like EU or USSA has lot more gas. We have nothing to fear about a socialist government. All we have to fear is how much gas they have to keep going. When countries separate on unfriendly terms, they don't get together for a while. That's less support for socialism.

Supporting the Catalans is the most pragmatic anti-socialist thing to do. It's not ideal; but it's practical.
