RE: Will the world fail Catalonia, again?
I have been discussing the Catalan independence with my son @frobear , this has huge implications for the EU, NATO and the UN.
If Spain do not agree to the independence and use force to assert their sovereignty we may see a civil war in One of Europe’s most powerful states. How that plays out will not be good for anyone and will have massive impacts on the people, politics and economy of Europe.
Rule by force is the disease, who and how are symptoms.
Bad played from both sides imo.
If rule by force is the disease, Catalonia independence is not the cure.
Just another state that would be indivisible as Spain is, with monopoly of force like all states.
Plus, only about half of the population want independence from Spain.
Nice one!
Catalonian nationalism is as stupid as any other nationalism.
Catalonian nationalists have used violence against people who are against independence from Spain, not a good indication of things to come.
Anarchists organize on a local level, in the hoods and if they are for a Catalonian state it is only for tactical reasons, because they think it would be less powerful and easier to overcome than the Spanish state.
Well, in their defense they would have prevailed absent hitler's bombers and the ignorance of the general population.
If I imprison you in my backyard are you gonna take it meekly, lying down?
Without change progress is impossible.
I'm tired of being the slave of some old dude in a suit, capisce?
When do the anarchists get a homeland?
Why do you presume to rule over land that is not yours?
Rule by force is the disease, who and how are symptoms.
Keep working, stop paying.
It may not cure it, but it sure acts as a tonic,...
So it is ok for 50% to force the other 50% to do as they are told?
What about me telling you what to do?
Is that ok?
So it is ok for 50% to force the other 50% to do as they are told?
Of course not but you're proving my point.
I'm gathering that your point might be that you get to tell me what to do, because reasons, but I don't get freedom unless you allow it.
I hope that is not the case.
If you want me to get your point you will have to better illustrate it to me.
