I know here in the US, there is an issue of black kittens getting to be the LAST to be adopted from animal shelters because of old superstitions that they are "bad luck."
And now there's evidently a NEW problem: Younger people are less likely to adopt black cats because — believe it or not — "they don't show up as well in selfies." Talk about superficial nation.

Thank you so much for contributing with your opinion about this subject. It saddens me to realize that we are still influenced by stupid superstitions like this. Realizing it is a worldwide phenomenon it's even more disturbing.
I have already read about the issue of selfies and black cats. I have no words to describe how shallow and superficial this people are.
Keep on promoting black cats!
