Natilla y Buñuelos our tradition/Natilla y Buñuelos nuestra tradición

In my country, Colombia, it's a tradition to celebrate Christmas with natilla (a traditional dessert) and buñuelos (fritters). These foods are exchanged among neighbors, family, and friends. It's the same food, but the exchange represents brotherhood.

En mi país, Colombia, es tradición celebrar la Navidad con natilla (un postre tradicional) y buñuelos. Estos alimentos se intercambian entre vecinos, familiares y amigos. Es el mismo alimento , pero el intercambio representa la hermandad.

My family is large, so we enjoy December to the fullest. It's also a tradition to celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve dinner at my mother's house.

Hay otra tradición: jugar al amigo secreto. Funciona así: Se ponen los nombres de los participantes en una bolsa, cada uno saca un papelito y el que le corresponde le entrega el regalo. El descubrimiento del amigo secreto se realiza un día antes de Navidad o incluso el mismo día , es muy agradable .

And my tradition: I have the tradition of giving my Sofía a piece of jewelry. I like it to be gold. My mother says that everyone should have some gold. It's a metal that represents financial support at any time.

Y mi tradición: Tengo la tradición de regalarle a mi Sofía una joya. Me gusta que sea de oro. Mi madre dice que todos deberían tener oro. Es un metal que representa apoyo económico en cualquier momento.
