My Favorite Childhood Photo

Hi steemit community,

When I saw the topic "A topic I Worth A Thousand Words," I paused and smiled. Because it's true sometimes, one picture carries more emotions, stories, and memories than a whole book ever could.

Let me take you back to one of my favorite pictures, a throwback from my childhood. I was in my cultural attire, gele tied on my small head, beads around my neck, and that serious look on my face that was supposed to mean I was grown.

Looking at that photo now, it might not be the sharpest or most perfect in quality, but it's one of the most meaningful ones I have. It captures a moment of pure joy, innocence, and pride in my roots.

That one picture holds stories i can't fully explain. It reminds me of simpler times, no bills, no pressure,no late night overthinking. Just vibes, I love, and loud laughter with friends. I didn't care if my shoes were tight or if the sun was hot, I wss just happy to be seen and to belong.

And now when I compare that photo to a recent one, maybe of me all dreams, tired but still hopeful I see growth. I see strength. I see the journey. It's funny how we take pictures in seconds, but years later, they carry so much weight.

Pictures don't just show what we looked like, they show we were, our feelings, our stages, our struggles, our little wins.

Sometimes, when life gets hard, I go through old pictures and they remind me how far I've come. From the little girl with dreams in her eyes to the young woman still trying to figure life out, but with so much fight in her.
The camera only captures the image, but behind every picture is a story, and sometimes a tear or a silent prayer.

A picture is worth a thousand words
Not because of what we see, but because of what we remember when we see it.

So whether it's a childhood throwback, a blurry selfie with friends,or photo taken during a though season, they all carryy something deeper.

That's why I take pictures, not just for likes or to post online, but to freeze memories, hold on to little moments, and remind myself of the journey.

Thank you for reading my post!

  1. Can you use a more original m, creative title instead if this boring one?
  2. Please check your hashtags. They are used for a reason.

A picture is always worth 1000 words since it depends on the one who observes it, the time and mood what those words will be.

I wonder if children feel proud of their roots. Adults do. As a child we know nothing else.
