Unlucky Racers

One day, a cross-country race was being held in my neighborhood, specifically in a large, empty community garden on the Bantayan coast. Many racers came from who knows where.

I'm not a fan of this kind of spectator, but because my children were busy and the crowd was so large, my father and I were forced to accompany them.

The crowd was so large that the road was severely congested. I just stood on the side of the road with my children. After a few laps, suddenly, a crowd of people gathered at one point at the end of the field.

Then I learned that an accident had occurred, and one of the racers had fallen and broken his neck. An ambulance immediately arrived to help the victim. However, the race continued, while hospital staff immediately treated the victim.

To this day, I still don't know if the child is still alive, but I've seen many cases where the neck is broken. It's rare for anyone to survive except by a miracle from God, and I can't doubt that. It's a terrible tragedy, in my opinion, really....even though my child is a boy, I don't want them to become racers😌.
