An architect went here yesterday brought by my brother with my sister-in-law and we discussed on how the house should be like where the rooms will be and all that plus my brother told us that we must have a garage for a future car to park into so that us and my sister can be freed from having a shared garage.

If we will have our own garage then it will eat the space for the supposed living room which I have in mind will be and in turn the kitchen area will be the new living space. That is why a new kitchen should be done together with the place to do the laundry. It will be a good thing because the living room space will be small enough to use an A/C with a better efficiency.

All of the rooms will be air-conditioned including the living room and I will not be worried about the electricity as I also plan to have a net-metering solar power source to be installed because according to my brother it will now only cost about $2,200+ approximately to have a 5KW Solar power source which is of course awesome because if I opt-in for double that capacity, we will enjoy A/C rooms everyday.

For those that are not familiar with solar power net metering, it is where you give power to the grid when your solar power generates electricity, it will be credited to you with the use of a special power meter similar that your house uses but it counts the KW/hr in both ways of drawing power from the grid and "selling" power to the grid. For example when you ride a taxi, the meter goes forward but in the case of net metering when your solar power gives power to the grid, the meter goes backwards.

Your aim is to move that meter backwards as much as possible and that can be done on how your solar power can produce in a sunlight-day-hours. You are credited with those produced electricity. The only caveat is that when the grid goes out, you can only get electricity during the day. However I do not know if that is the case but it makes sense to enjoy electricity even when the grid goes out during the day.

Anyway, one thing is for sure now if God wills it, that me and my parents will not worry about the floods any longer because we will have a new, safe and secured house plus without worrying much about electricity costs. It has been my plan ever since I figured out that kidney transplant will not be anymore possible although the world is still round and anything might change even for tomorrow but I hope that God will always be kind and patient to me because he knows what my heart contains.

Wow, @cryptopie, this post is fantastic! It's so exciting to see the progress on your new house plans. The photos really give us a sense of the space and the potential it holds. I'm especially impressed with your vision for incorporating solar power and net metering – what a smart and sustainable solution for your electricity needs.

Building a flood-safe and secure home for you and your parents is such a wonderful goal, and I'm truly happy to see you making it a reality. Your thoughtfulness and optimism are inspiring. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. I can't wait to see the next update! What stage of the construction will occur in the coming weeks?

Just to give you a heads up. I put a proposal up on here. Over on HIVE it has received 50 Votes so far but the heavy hitters likely aren't going to go for it there.
I would love for you to take a look at it and I can answer any questions you might have!
