Autumn in Gorodishna

Gorodishna is a village in the Nyuksensky district of the Vologda region with a population of about seven hundred people. A river named Gorodishna flows through the village.

This is my first time in this place. I once had thoughts of going here, but then the road was terribly broken and I abandoned the idea of raping the suspension.

Now 40 kilometers to the highway are easy – 20 minutes and you're in the regional center!

The presence of a river always implies a height difference, and it is here.

Old large huts with carved balconies create a cozy atmosphere.

There is a school here, in which has built a new stadium with training grounds.

There is a church of the Epiphany in the village...however, without domes and bell towers.

The village is small, but it is not so easy to get through it at one time. It's all about the lack of bridges across the river, except for one main road.

It was a surprise to see a huge square dedicated to the memory of the Great Patriotic War, where there are guns, tanks, armored personnel carriers.

All this was done by the efforts and means of a local entrepreneur, a native of Gorodishna.

Bright golden autumn this year!

The further away from the big city, the earlier and stronger the yellowing of the foliage appears.

I want to visit different parts of my region more often and capture life there.

But there is life! Surprisingly, there are sometimes more people in remote places than in nearby villages.

The Nyuksen district is one of the most unexplored and not filmed by me.

The above statement turned out to be incorrect, as I remembered how many places I traveled along the Sukhonsky highway and even was at the confluence of Gorodishna with Sukhona.

This feeling is caused by the fact that I have never photographed the Nyuksenica regional center itself.

The town has long been on the list of places to visit, now I can open my old notebook and put a check mark there.

But all the places are still stored in the head, as a memory code.

And the village went there with a very strong set of feelings and impressions that they will remain for a very long time!

But there is one small nuance in the sensations: for a complete set, you need a desire to come back again.

For some reason, once was enough for me...
