Water lilies in Vologda river
For the second year in a row, water lilies on the Vologda River have been stealing my attention. This time I took pictures not only in the usual places, but also looked into a couple of new ones. And I also wanted to take the water lilies themselves bigger and closer.
In one place, I even went waist-deep into the water so that the round leaves of the water lilies were very close in the frame.
For some reason, both last year's walk and this one were somehow mystical, magical.
Sometimes I even physically felt some kind of warmth in my chest and euphoria from it.
I felt like I was not in the city, but in some other world...It's like the places where I photograph the cellars.
I still can't figure out why I'm so attracted to water, because I'm afraid to be in it.
This year, the water level in the river is slightly higher than last year.
And the banks in the Vologda River are muddy due to the almost non-existent current.
...I've been tired of the city all summer, and I want to go to remote, deserted, remote places.
But it won't let me go...There's something else I have to capture in it.
I'm going to break out somewhere very soon!
