A Busy Friday
Hello dear friends,
I hope you all are doing well and spending a beautiful life with your loved ones. I wish you all happiness and peace.
Yesterday was Friday, and it turned out to be one of the busiest Fridays of my life. Usually, Friday is a day for a bit of rest and relaxation—but this time, everything went off track.
The reason? I had office work that day. I reached the office at 9 AM and got busy with work. Time was flying, and I was completely focused when suddenly, around 10 AM, my wife called.
She informed me that my second elder sister’s family was on their way to visit us. This was news to me—something I hadn't been informed about earlier.
I was a bit surprised and said in a concerned tone, “It would have been better if you told me earlier. We could’ve made better arrangements.”
Still, I told her, “We already have fish, chicken, and beef at home. Just go ahead and cook something nice.”
She mentioned that we were a bit short on polao rice—needed about 1 to 1.5 kilograms. Since I was already at work, I asked her to get it from the store herself.
Alhamdulillah, she’s understanding and responsible. She went out with my younger sister, and together they got the rice.
Just around noon, at 12 PM, the sky suddenly poured down with heavy rain. It was the kind of rain that made umbrellas useless.
Meanwhile, I was planning to leave early for home, but the downpour made it very difficult.
Anyway, after offering my Jummah prayer around 1:30 PM, I left the office, soaking wet, and headed home. On the way, I stopped by a shop to pick up lemons, salad items, eggs, and some soft drinks.
When I reached home around 2:30 PM, I saw that cooking was already in full swing. Around that time, one of my colleagues arrived with his wife and kids. I had invited him earlier, so I was genuinely happy to see them.
Soon after, my wife’s sister, her husband, and their kids also arrived. The house quickly filled with laughter, noise, and excitement.
We all sat down for a meal together. There was food, laughter, and warm conversations—it felt lively and joyful.
By 3:30 PM, I had to return to the office again to complete some unfinished work. After wrapping everything up, I came back home around 7 PM.
The guests were still there. I thought, why not take everyone out for a while? We went to a nearby shop where the kids saw some bags they liked. I ended up buying three bags for the three kids—it made them incredibly happy.
The cool evening breeze, the children’s bright smiles, and my wife’s appreciative glance created a heartwarming moment for me.
At night, the house was full. It’s a small home, and with so many guests—especially with playful, noisy children—it became quite a chaotic scene!
Still, it was a different kind of happiness. I whispered a prayer in my heart: “O Allah, grant me patience and peace amidst this chaos.”
Eventually, the night passed. After breakfast the next morning, our guests left. And once again, I was back on my way to the office—stepping into another new day.
That was my busy, guest-filled Friday. A blend of family, friends, responsibilities, and love—hectic, but undeniably beautiful.
Thanks all
