The Arrival of a New Guest, Mohammad Rafi: A Celebration of Joy in Our Family
Hello dear friends,
I hope you all are doing well and spending a beautiful life with your loved ones. I wish you all happiness and peace.
The 19th of last month will always remain a special day in our family’s history. On that day, my younger brother Abdur Rahim was blessed with a beautiful baby boy, as delicate and pure as a little angel. By the infinite mercy of Allah, both mother and child are healthy. Although I could not be physically present at that moment, the news filled my heart with joy. It felt as if a new ray of sunshine had entered my own home.
The arrival of a newborn in the family always brings a unique kind of excitement. We are four brothers—three of us are married. The eldest and the third brother live abroad. My elder brother has a son, I have an only daughter, Nusaiyba, and now my youngest brother Abdur Rahim has been blessed with a son—Mohammad Rafi. The arrival of this little one has once again united all members of our family in love and joy.
Rafi and his mother returned home from the hospital on the 30th. I live in Narayanganj, while our youngest brother, Naim, lives in Uttara, Dhaka. Due to my busy work schedule, I haven’t yet had the opportunity to hold our new guest in my arms. But my heart couldn’t rest without doing something—so I sent a few gifts for Rafi, all of which are essential for a newborn.
The gifts included—
Kodomo brand baby lotion, to keep his delicate skin soft and smooth.
Baby cream, to protect his skin during cold and dry weather.
Baby powder, to keep him fresh and comfortable all day long.
Olive oil, for gentle massages to strengthen his bones and body.
Neo Care baby wipes, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
A soft carpet, for him to rest on comfortably.
These gifts may not be expensive, but each one carries my love, care, and blessings. I think to myself, when he grows up, he may not remember these things, but I will always know that in the earliest days of his life, I tried my best to care for him.
The news of my younger brother’s son’s birth also brought back my childhood memories. I remembered how the four of us brothers used to spend time together—playing, laughing, and making mischief in the mud. Now times have changed, and we all live in different places, but Rafi’s birth seems to have brought us closer once again. Over phone calls and video chats, we exchange smiles, share congratulations, and send pictures of the baby.
I plan to visit our village next month. Then, I will finally get to hold Rafi in my arms, feel the tiny touch of his fingers, and plant a sweet kiss on his cheek. The scent of a newborn, the innocence of his smile—these are feelings that wash away all the fatigue of life.
In the end, I pray to Allah—may Mohammad Rafi grow up healthy, beautiful, and righteous; may his life be filled with joy, knowledge, and success; and may he become a pride for our family and a valuable asset for our country.
Thanks all
