Three Little Kittens Found a New Home: Nusaiba’s Joyful Story

In the hustle and bustle of city life, sometimes the smallest events bring the greatest joy. Recently, something heartwarming happened in my life that filled our home with happiness. I live in a flat where every apartment has a collapsible security gate in front of the main wooden door. During the hot summer, we usually keep the wooden door open and lock only the gate, so that fresh air can flow inside.

A couple of days ago, in the evening, while we were having dinner, we suddenly heard a faint “meow, meow” coming from the door. At first, I was surprised and couldn’t quite figure out what it was. Out of curiosity, I took my little daughter, Nusaiba, and went to the entrance. To our amazement, three tiny kittens had slipped inside through the gaps of the collapsible gate! They looked incredibly cute, moving around curiously and meowing softly.

I immediately opened the gate to see if their mother was outside, but no cat was in sight. At first, I had no idea where these kittens came from. Later, I found out that there were originally five kittens downstairs in our building. A tenant’s young son from the fifth floor had brought all five of them home to play with. However, their family decided to keep only two and left the remaining three on the staircase. Those three little ones then wandered down step by step until they reached the fourth floor—and eventually found their way into our flat.

The moment Nusaiba saw the kittens, her face lit up with pure joy. She was so excited that she refused to let them go back outside. Seeing my daughter’s happiness, I couldn’t think of turning them away. We decided to let the kittens stay with us for now.

Since then, these little furballs have become a part of our everyday life. Nusaiba spends hours playing with them—holding them, chasing them around, and even talking to them in her sweet little way. Their gentle meows and playful behavior have made our home feel more alive. Sometimes I and Nusaiba give them food as well. A bit of milk or rice mixed together is enough to make them happily wag their tiny tails and eat.

It’s fascinating how such small incidents can change the rhythm of life. These kittens are not just Nusaiba’s playmates anymore—they have become a source of warmth and joy for our whole family. Whenever I see my daughter’s bright smile while cuddling them, I feel grateful for this unexpected blessing.

Every morning, as soon as she wakes up, Nusaiba’s first instinct is to look for the kittens. She pets them, places toys in front of them, and tries to invent little games. Watching her innocent joy makes me realize how important these little creatures have become in her life.

We often underestimate the power of such tiny moments, but they truly have a big impact. These three kittens have brought a wave of happiness into our home. For Nusaiba, they are not just stray kittens anymore—they are her friends, her companions, and a part of her childhood memories in the making.

Stray or not, these little ones have now found love, care, and a safe place. Most importantly, they have gifted my daughter a priceless kind of happiness—one that will stay with her, and us, for a very long time.
