Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Abuja Nigeria
Welcome to one of the best art centres in Nigeria, friends from afar. In this post, I will only share with you what I know about Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Abuja. Let's begin with the historical background.
History
Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Abuja is still a new place, because it was established in the year 2007, by Olorogun Jeff Ajueshi, who is a well known curator and art entrepreneur, who started the place as a modest gallery inside a small rented apartment in Abuja area of Wuse 2. The centre grew bigger in 2022 and became a large place for art and a gallery, having its own building and facilities.

The mission of the place is to collect, conserve, and display art, a contemporary African gallery, and student modern arts while bringing commerce, education, and community together. Today, as you read about Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Abuja from my post, it is now a big cultural hub in Abuja with branches in Oghara, Benin City, and Lagos, which is the number one commercial city in Nigeria.
The interesting thing about the place is that its founder has a foundation for arts and creative training in his hometown that supports youth empowerment through art and creativity.
Facade and architecture:

The building is a modern two-story building that is very clean with minimalist neutral tones, facade, and big glass elements that are typical of the architectural design that Abuja needs.

The exterior is well-blended and elegant, which in my eyes is so beautiful. The reception and gallery halls are all flooded with natural light and characterised by well-polished floors and white walls, which is best for showcasing different arts and galleries.
Interior Atmosphere:
The interior atmosphere includes the following:
A large, open gallery space where lectures and events can take place
A well-dedicated learning centre with art library, multimedia, etc
A house in a cafe for a gift shop offering
Finally the maintenance of the place is excellent.
Experience:
My visit to the place was last year, when, as far as I was aware, people who visited the place were praising it consistently. My experience
I learnt directly from curators and artists as there were free tours for me to have access to them.
Parking vehicle usually get right during event hours, but still the centre is good as it meets and often exceeds one's expectations.
Exhibition Theme
Well, all I can say here is that during my visit to Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Abuja, the current exhibition "Next of kin series 6: who will give myself and other people a Masterpiece" by emerging Nigerian artist was fully displayed for me and others to see.
The artists are a selected group of emerging voices curated by the founder. As for ticket cost, it was between **₦1,000 - ₦2,000 approximately (4.9 STEEM - 9.8 STEEM); despite this, some visitors stood at their stand that entry fee is totally free for standard visits.
