Experience climbing and flying a drone at Puncak Burni Telong

Hi everyone, Today I'm back to sharing photography content with this amazing community. Today, I want to share my story and the amazing photos I took with my drone.

The story I want to share in this post is my first experience flying a drone over a volcano at 2,624 meters above sea level (masl). I climbed the mountain on December 31, 2024.

This volcano is located in one of the regencies in Aceh Province, Indonesia, specifically in Bener Meriah Regency. This mountain is called Burni Telong. I'm not sure of the exact history of why it's called Burni Telong.

Back to my experience. My group and I started climbing early in the morning. Of course, we brought all the equipment and supplies we would need to reach the summit.

On the way, I started flying my drone to admire the natural beauty from above. However, since I only had one battery, I limited my use so I could fly it later at the summit.

My group and I continued walking through the pristine forest until we finally reached the summit. I was so happy and amazed by the beautiful view. It was as if all the burdens of work disappeared when I witnessed the silence and majesty of nature at an altitude of 2,624 meters above sea level. At that moment, I flew my drone for the first time from the summit. Once again, I was amazed by the extraordinary view from the air.

Well, that's the story of my first experience flying a drone over a volcano at an altitude of 2,624 meters above sea level. Here, I'll also share some of the photos I took. Oh yes, this mountain is also a popular nature tourism destination for nature lovers to this day.
