Farming on Steemit refers to the practice of exploiting the reward system (curation and posting) to unfairly gain STEEM or other tokens. Examples include:

• Creating multiple accounts to upvote each other (self-voting network).

• Using bots to automate upvoting without quality contributions.

• Abusing communities or tags to gain more attention and rewards.

Impact:

• Diminishing the value of quality content.

• Making genuine users feel unappreciated.

• Damaging the reputation and trust in the reward system.

Fake Accounts

Fake users are usually created for the purpose of farming, spamming, or vote manipulation. Some characteristics:
