Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you are doing well. Alhamdulillah, I am also fine. A few days ago, I went with some of my family members and an elder brother to visit the Kholahati Small Cottage Industries and Trade Fair 2025.
Nowadays, this type of fair is mostly arranged around cantonment areas since these places are considered safer for big events. We first reached the fair by auto-rickshaw. After arriving, we bought the entry ticket which cost 20 Taka each, and then went inside.
As soon as we entered, we saw different types of stalls. We decided to start from one side and also planned to buy some necessary items.

The first thing that caught my eye was this balloon seller. He was sitting right near the entrance, which I found quite smart from a business point of view. Because right after entering, both kids and adults notice these balloons easily. The balloons were being sold for 50 - 100 Taka, depending on the customer.

Small-sized teddies were being sold for around 150 Taka, while the bigger ones were much more expensive, around 400 - 500 Taka, and some even close to 1000 Taka depending on the size and demand.

These plastic flowers are usually bought to decorate houses. People use them in dining rooms, living rooms, or other corners of the house to make it look beautiful. Each was being sold for about 80 Taka.

The fair had many toy rides for children and young kids. This one was shaped like a dragon train, and kids were enjoying themselves a lot while riding it.

This was a Jilapi sweet stall. Usually, two types are sold - sugar jilapi and molasses jilapi. Molasses jilapi is more popular now, so its price was higher, around 200 Taka per kg.

This was a Makha stall a spicy snack made with different ingredients. The price was 30 Taka per plate. We had to wait in line for quite a while, but finally got to eat it. The stall was always crowded.

Almost all of us like to chew betel leaf paan at times. In fairs, they sell special types of sweet paan mixed with different spices, nuts, and fruits. The price was 50 Taka each. We just collected the information but didn’t buy, since none of us actually eat paan.

Your publication has been very entertaining, it was like having been there while describing sales and attractions. I wish you success in the contest.
Didn't the last photo that has many colors understand very well. Food or paint samples?

These are the different ingredients for chewing betel paan. You’ll usually find these at fairs.
