A few days ago, I went to a fair with my friends. The fair was held in Saidpur, Nilphamari district, which is only about 13–14 km away from my home. I couldn’t visit earlier because of work pressure, even though the fair had started many days before. Finally, I managed to take some time off and went there with my friends to enjoy the fair.

Entry Gate

We reached there in the evening, so we got to enjoy all the beautiful lights at the entrance. As you can see in the picture, the gate was decorated wonderfully with lighting. To enter the fair, you first need to buy a ticket for 20 BDT. These tickets are also used for the night lottery that takes place at the fair.

Ferris Wheel

Inside, we found a Ferris wheel ride. The ticket price was 50 BDT. By buying one, anyone could enjoy a ride on it.

Lottery Tickets

These colorful tickets cost 20 BDT each. At night, the fair organizes a lottery game with these tickets. The prizes are quite attractive ranging from motorbikes to dinner sets, and even gold items.

Boxing Machine

There was also a boxing machine where people could test their strength. The cost was 20 BDT per game. Many visitors were trying it out and enjoying themselves.

Roller Ice Cream

Another highlight was the roller ice cream. This kind of ice cream is very popular in fairs. The price ranged from 50–100 BDT depending on the flavor and toppings. It was freshly made right in front of customers, often with fruit juices mixed in.

Bangles & Jewelry

One of the most attractive parts of the fair was the women’s jewelry stalls. Bangles were the top sellers. They came in different colors, designs, and brands, with prices varying by size and style.

Toys for Kids

Of course, a fair isn’t complete without toys for children. As soon as kids saw them, they started insisting their parents buy something. That’s why toy stalls were always crowded.

Teddy Bear Shop

There was also a shop full of teddy bears in different sizes. Prices varied depending on the size. These were especially popular among children and young girls.

Kashmiri Ice Gola

One stall that caught my attention was selling Kashmiri ice gola. I hadn’t seen this in other fairs before. Although many people seemed to enjoy it, I didn’t try one myself. From what I noticed, the colorful syrups they use might not be very healthy, so it’s better to avoid them.

Overall, the fair was full of fun, colorful stalls, and joyful people. Visiting with friends made the experience even more special.
