Some time at the betel leaf market.
Assalamu Alaikum/Hello
Friends of my CCS Community.
I'm @tuhin002 from Bangladesh.
Some changes can be seen between the people of the city and the people of the village, one of which is the market of paan hat. The people of the village like to eat paan and that is why they go to Gangi Bazar to buy paan. Paan is sold in the market like a mokam. These are the people of the village who have the means of livelihood, they break paan from the ice and buy and sell here. They buy from them and then they buy at wholesale prices and they sell at retail.
The two people you see here are one is a wholesaler and the other is a retailer. That is, one has broken the betel from the ice of his betel and brought it to the retailer to sell. At present, the price of betel is quite low but the demand is very high. Although these betels are not that thick now, they have to be sold with the big betel growers. One thing is that the farmers who work hard to produce them do not get the price they deserve. Whereas the retailers get even more than that.
Not only are there people selling betel leaves here, but many people come to the raw market here. Our Gangni market is held on Saturdays and Tuesdays, it is a very big market. All the things that are available in the raw market, like the Saudi market, are bought and sold here. Even cows and goats are slaughtered in the morning and they are sold here. All in all, it is a bustling market. In the market where you can buy anything you want and all kinds of things are sold here. Not only that, there is a fish market here where fish farmers sell their fish.
Retail buyers have bought betel from wholesalers, now you can see that everyone is standing in a row, and the retailers will sell them to the sellers at a lower price. One thing that surprised me is that they buy 15 to 20 taka from wholesalers who cultivate betel and sell the product for 50-60 taka. That is, they earn 30 to 40 taka per betel. However, the farmer who produced it does not get its real price. However, rent was collected here because rent must be paid. Paying rent is an important matter of the heart. Overall, it is a very good place to do business.
