The Cosmic Seed Basket by Cristina Ochoa at Wakehurst botanical garden . A giant replica of the Erythrina americana seed which, invites visitors to sit inside and reflect. It was actually very peaceful and calming. It is dyed with dragons blood to keep to its natural aesthetic.

Seedscapes exhibition has been put on to celebrate the Millennium Seed Bank’s 25th year.

The Swedbank was built at Wakehurst in 2000, and gas since safeguarded nearly 2.5 billion seeds from over 40,000 wild plant species. It is the world’s largest wild plant seed conservation project, and a vital insurance policy in a time when almost half of the world’s flowering plants are at risk of extinction.
