Wakehurst gardens
Today was a scorching 88 degrees in the Uk and on a day like today, especially with no aircon you need to be out enjoying nature! I headed back to Wakehurst gardens as I barely covered a fraction of it last time and I still barely touched the place! It’s over 500 acres. The gardens were largely created by Gerald Loder (later Lord Wakehurst), owner of Wakehurst from 1903 to 1936, who sponsored many collecting expeditions. It’s split into many sections with various themes such as the big area, irises, the water garden and the prairie.
