RE: Continued: OFFICIAL Charity post in Steemit - use your votes for GOOD!

in #charity9 years ago

Is there a way to verify that the proceeds have gone to charity? Like maybe you could screenshot the trades of crypto to fiat on an exchange. I'm not sure the best way but it's needed because we have already seen and will see more charity raises that use Steemit and some will be bad actors.

Absolutely! And this is what I have described in my first charity post:

There is a step-by-step process, where I will be showing you the transfers that I make from my wallet here, and then you will see it landing on our Handmade Charity account through a transparency tool Frank.money.

We are using this tool not only to show how we get the money, but also to show you how we spend it. So through accessing this link:

https://frank.ly/accounts/167

you will be able to see every dollar that Handmade Charity received an every dollar that we've spent. (Give it some time though, as the tool has just been launched and now it takes some time to reflect all the changes. But it should be up and running 100% live in the next few weeks).

And to make this process even easier, I will be doing monthly reports with screenshots to show you where the money went and where you can see this information live.

That's why I'm emphasizing that these posts are official, as we are a non-profit and we are accountable not only to Steemit, but also to IRS - so we definitely don't want to mess up here:)

Let me know if you have more questions or suggestions how to make this process more easy and transparent!

Pretty awesome that you are one step ahead of me. Not awesome for me, that I'm like one step behind someone else, but such is my life. Smart people > me. You earned my upvote. Good luck!

Thank you!!

I'm sure it's not so much about being smarter than someone else, it's just about focusing on something and try to do the best you can)
