RE: Cherokee Seed Bank - Distribution Starts February 1st!

Good Initiative.. We need to preserve our Local seeds and multiply these seeds. These local seeds are drought resistant and pest resistant. We should stop buying seeds from Multinational comoanies like monsanto. They have looted Farmers all across the globe.

I agree! I believe the preservation and propagation of heirloom seeds is critically important for the future of feeding our families, and for the future in general!

These particular seeds also help to preserve our heritage and culture, which is equally important!

Yes. Many of the native seeds are on the verge of extinction due to companies like monsanto. In India Native cotton seeds are veey very difficult to find. 95% ppl today grow BT cotton and Farmers who grow BT cotton are commiting suicides from last decade. Native seess require less water and less fertilizers and pesticides. Its a natures gift.. we should strive more to preserve them. In India also people like you are building Seed Banks. All the best to you.
