If You Thought It Couldn't Get Any Worse For Chicago...

Chicago is mired in a debt crisis. This is coupled with the State of Illinois being in the same situation.

There are two people running for mayor who exemplify different backgrounds. One thing they do agree upon: making sure the city remains insolvent.

Chicago is facing a pension crisis and neither candidate is willing to face the truth about having to cut spending and stand up to the unions. They both support higher taxes to pay for the pensions.

This is at a time when the tax base of Chicago is leaving. Those with the means are exiting the city and moving to places where the taxes are not as onerous.

    Chicago is not working out well, IMHO. I was there for a visit long ago, and ne'er shall return, if God is willing.

    That is a weird neck in that pic. Not even sure I want to know what's going on with what looks like a fanny pack built into their throat.
