Niko was a curious little fox who lived in a cozy burrow beneath a blueberry bush. He loved asking questions like, “Why do stars twinkle?” and “Can clouds be squishy?”
One morning, Niko found a mysterious box outside his burrow. Inside were two fluffy, glowing shoes made entirely of cloud. A note tucked inside read: “For the kind-hearted. These shoes will take you where your dreams live.” Niko blinked. “Dreams have addresses?”
He slipped on the shoes and—whoosh!—was lifted into the sky. The wind giggled as it carried him higher and higher. Niko soared past birds, balloons, and even a sleepy dragon snoring on a cloud. “Excuse me,” Niko whispered, “Is this Dreamland?”
The dragon yawned. “Almost. Just follow the rainbow trail.” Niko nodded and zipped along the shimmering path.
He landed in a floating village where dreams were made: bubble-blowing bears, singing stars, and jellybean trees. A worried cloud named Poffle floated by. “My dream got lost! It was supposed to be a flying pancake circus!”
Niko offered to help. He searched the village, asking everyone: “Have you seen a pancake doing flips?” Finally, he found the circus stuck inside a sleepy moon’s pocket. “Oops,” said the moon. “I thought it was a bedtime snack.”
With a giggle, Niko helped Poffle set up the pancake circus. Flipping flapjacks flew through hoops and landed in syrup pools. Everyone cheered. Poffle beamed. “You’re the bravest fox I’ve ever met!” Niko blushed. “I just like helping.”
As the sun began to rise, the cloud shoes gently floated Niko back home. He waved goodbye to the stars and sleepy moon. Back in his burrow, Niko tucked the shoes under his bed. “Maybe tomorrow, I’ll visit the dream of a dancing teacup.”
And from that day on, whenever someone lost a dream, Niko and his cloud shoes were ready to find it.
