GOD PUTS BELIEVERS IN FAMILIES 1

"TWO PEOPLE ARE BETTER OFF THAN ONE, FOR they can HELP each other SUCCEED."
Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NLT)

"GOD PLACES THE LONELY IN FAMILIES; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land."
Psalm 68:6 (NLT)

• For further reading or study: Ecclesiastes 4:7-12; Psalm 68:4-6; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

• God created humans a relational being. He wants humans to work in togetherness or families.
There is power in agreement or togetherness. Two people are better off than one. When you walk with another person, or a group of people, you multiply your strength and get better results.
Thus, God wants every believer to belong to a family: the lonely are placed in families (Psalm 68:6).
The Body of Christ is One Yet there are different parts or families in it. All the parts of the Body are to work together as One (1 Corinthians 13:14,20,21,25).
READ: 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
Every member of the Body of Christ has a role to play, a contribution to make, in the building of the Body (Ephesians 4:16).

• It all starts with the knowing of the family you belong. God has put each solitary believer in a family.
You must not be an orphan; one that lacks support, supervision, or care. A lack of corporate interest has made a couple of believers an orphan.
If you do not have a family you have no inheritance (Numbers 27:7; 36:7). The local church you are planted by God is the spiritual family you belong. Your blessings are packaged and sent to you, in most cases, through the family you belong.
A rolling stone gathers no moss, the adage says. A rolling stone is a person who moves about a great deal and never settles down; this indicates or means that someone who never settles anywhere will not do well.
A believer who goes about, who identifies with no particular local church, might not access his or her inheritance. Such a believer might lose or forfeit what God has for him or her—the blessings apportioned them.
Some believers are fond of going from one church to another (Hebrews 13:9). They never identified with any local church. And in some people's cases, they are in a church which they are not planted by God—they are in a wrong family!
You must know the spiritual family you belong. The same nation of Israel but different tribes and families. And also in the spiritual, the same Body of Christ but different families.
If you are in a church, as a believer, which you are not planted by God, you are in a wrong family.
There are various wrong reasons why people choose the church they attend.
a. You do not choose the church you attend because some of your friends are attending the place;
b. or because It is not far from your house;
c. or the place is fanciful;
d. or because the big people in the society are attending the church, or whatever; and because of many other carnal and wrong reasons.
Discover the appointed place of God for your life. Know the pastor under whom God wants you to be. The truth is, there is the anointing God meant or ordained to bless your life. Stay under the anointing which God wanted you to be.

• Someone might say, how would a new believer in Christ Jesus know the church to attend or the family he or she belongs?
God will order your feet, even when you are yet to know and how to differentiate your left hand from the right. He would allow you to be directed, or your feet be ordered, to the right place or church.
At new birth, that is, as a new convert or a baby Christian; you may not be able to know or differentiate between one church to the other. But God in His divine arrangement would allow you to find yourself in the right place.
You might be invited by a mature Believer who has been in the Christian faith before you, to the place or church, or be in the place through the person who led you to Christ, or you find yourself in the church through a programme you attended there and you are inclined to stay or remain in the church. And many other ways.
At the time you are being led to the church, you may not know that you are being directed or led by God. But the truth is, you would later come to realize you were led there by God.

• Many believers do not know how God moves or does things.
If you are truly planted in a place, a church family, as a believer in Christ Jesus, your needs would be met there. In other words:
a. the anointing on the minister of God there will bless you.
b. You will grow or thrive both spiritually, emotionally, and materially.
c. In the church family you are planted by God, you would experience peace and progress.
d. You will discover your gifts, potentiality or ability, and be taught and trained on how to put it to work or use.
e. In the church family you are planted by God, you would be nurtured to growth and become an instrument of honour in the hand of God (2 Timothy 2:20,21).
Peace.
