GOD'S SINCERITY, STEADFASTNESS AND RELIABILITY
"HE REMEMBERS HIS COVENANT FOREVER, The word which He commanded, FOR A THOUSAND GENERATIONS."
Psalm 105:8 (NKJV)
"HE ALWAYS STANDS BY HIS COVENANT—THE COMMITMENT HE MADE TO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS."
Psalm 105:8 (NLT)
• God stands by His covenant.
- When God made a commitment, He stands by it. He would never renege, go back on His Word—on whatever He had made the commitment to do (Numbers 23:19).
- Whatever you received from God is what you had invested in Him—give to Him and His Kingdom. Of course, whatever you are giving Him is out of the things you are blessed with or received from Him. In other words, whatever you give to God, was received from Him or given to you by Him to begin with (John 3:27; 1 Corinthians 4:7).
- There is nothing a person has which has not come from God, to begin with (1 Corinthians 4:7). If you give all to God, you will receive His goodness.
- If you made a decision to serve God with all your heart, it speaks volumes—it has weight before God.
• What you have done in the past for God and His Kingdom counts and matters.
- Whatever you had done for Kingdom purpose would not be forgotten, despised or rubbished (Hebrews 6:10).
- God will stand by His Word to you, and be faithful to your posterity or descendant, the generation next; even when you are no longer there.
- God addresses Himself as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; It typifies that those people He had a covenant with lives on—He is not the God of the dead (Exodus 3:6).
- Some started well with God, but later derailed from the truth. Such started well but ended badly.
• Whatever God has promised to do, He would not renege, nor back out on His Word as said earlier (Numbers 23:19; Romans 11:29).
- Has God promised you anything before, He would surely do it at the right time. He certainly cannot lie!
- All He told Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were brought to the fulfilment:
43 SO THE LORD GAVE TO ISRAEL ALL THE LAND OF WHICH HE HAD SWORN TO GIVE TO THEIR FATHERS, AND THEY TOOK POSSESSION OF IT AND DWELT IN IT. 44 THE LORD GAVE THEM REST ALL AROUND, ACCORDING TO ALL THAT HE HAD SWORN TO THEIR FATHERS. AND NOT A MAN OF ALL THEIR ENEMIES STOOD AGAINST THEM; THE LORD DELIVERED ALL THEIR ENEMIES INTO THEIR HAND. 45 NOT A WORD FAILED OF ANY GOOD THING WHICH THE LORD HAD SPOKEN TO THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL. ALL CAME TO PASS" (Joshua 21:43-45 NKJV).
44 HE GAVE HIS PEOPLE THE LANDS OF PAGAN NATIONS, AND THEY HARVESTED CROPS THAT OTHERS HAD PLANTED.
45 ALL THIS HAPPENED SO THEY WOULD FOLLOW HIS DECREES AND OBEY HIS INSTRUCTIONS. PRAISE THE LORD!"
Psalm 105:44,45 (NLT)
- God stands by His covenant that His people, the Israelites, might follow His principles.
- God is faithful in making His words good that you may serve Him the more.
• You would need to understand and take note that God would permit you to be tested before His Word, whatever He said, is fulfilled in your life: "UNTIL THE TIME THAT HIS WORD CAME TO PASS,
THE WORD OF THE LORD TESTED HIM" (Psalm 105:19 (NLT).
- God would test you before He could bring His Word to a fulfilment in your life. The reason is, He would want to know the motives in your heart.
- God would test your character, obedience and faith. He would proof your heart, your motives, with problems and challenges.
- If your mind, your mindset, or view point about His work, Kingdom, and life in general, were not right or wrong; He would suspend or put to a hold, whatever He has in plan or intended for you. It means you are yet matured for the blessing.
- If a breakthrough, a new thing, is about happening in your life, and suddenly it stopped; you should check your heart or thought at the time.
- If element of pride is found in your thoughts and actions, or attitudes, at such a time; the blessings would be stopped or put on a hold.
- If you started announcing the good thing about to happen, trying to take glory, or want people to know that your level is about to change; the blessings might be stopped or be truncated.
- If you had the mind to oppress others with the blessing or the new level of success or position you are promoted to; the move of God or the blessing would be stopped.
• Whatever blessing given you by God, would not last or abound or be perpetuated; If your heart is polluted with pride.
- This is why, If God wanted to bless someone, He would start by giving such a person a little, a fragment of the blessings—to test and know the heart of him or her.
- God would want to know what the person would turn out to be with the little blessing given to him or her first.
IF the person, therefore, proofs faithful, the rest of the blessings would be released progressively, based on the growth and performance of the person in God's assessment. - The first instalment or fragment of the blessing given to you would determine or give God a clue on what to do next, whether to release the remainder of the blessings or put a hold on it.
- The reason why people lose their blessings is because of pride. Thus, character test is always a major test which is always carried out by God, before He blesses someone.
- God would test your character before He could bring His Word to fulfilment in your life.
• God is steadfast, sincere, and reliable, however, for His words or promises to be fulfilled; you have to pass His test and fulfil whatever condition needed before the realization or fulfilment of the promises He made.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- The Lord will establish you in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, I declare your healing now in Jesus' name.
- What would not allow you to live healthily, and enjoy your freedom in Christ Jesus, is cursed and uprooted in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
