"PRAYING ALWAYS WITH ALL PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION IN THE SPIRIT, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints."
Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV)

• As things needed to know about the devil and his operations had been taught and explained. And the Kingdom of God is also expatiated in the last part of this teaching.

  • Thus, how to deal effectively with the devil, the chief opposer of the believers—the people of God—are expatiated in this concluding part (Revelation 12:9-11; 1 Peter 5:8,9).
  • To be effective in dealing with the opposition; the devil and those who belong to him:

I. Knowledge of the Word of God is the foundation of whatever anyone wanted to do as a believer in Christ Jesus. Not only about the knowledge acquisition, but to be a doer or practicer of the Word (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3; James 1:22,25).
THE victory over the devil is driven home or established through the Word of God. Even Jesus did use the weapon of the Word of God to prevail over the devil, when he came to tempt Him in the dessert whilst fasting and praying (Deuteronomy 6:13,16; 8:3; Matthew 4:4,7,10).

II. Holiness is of paramount importance, If you wanted to deal with the devil and his cohorts. No one would see God or have His presence in his or her life without holiness (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15,16).
YOU cannot be living in sins and want to exorcise a demon (Acts 19:13-16; Romans 6:1,2). Someone who does not live right and wants to deal with a demon might find more than what he or she bargained for.

III. You should be consistent in prayer, and let fastings be added to your prayers (Matthew 17:18-21).

IV. A strong communion with God through the Holy Spirit must be intact (1 Corinthians 14:2; Jude 20), and you must be sensitive to His leadings (Romans 8:14).

V. Be prompt in obeying whatever instruction given to you by God (1 Samuel 15:22).
IF you lived in disobedience, It can open the door for the enemy, the devil, to access or work against your life.
WHEN you disobeyed God, He would make your words ineffective in dealing with the opposition—the devil (Acts 19:13-16).

VI. If you are sensual, you are being ruled or controlled by the flesh, you may find it difficult to deal with the powers of darkness that may come your way (Romans 8:7,8).

VII. As per making of impacts in the work of ministry, that is, the situation where you are devastating the kingdom of darkness; the devil would want to assault you physically through the people who yielded to him, or those who are his human agents.
a. If you are making impacts through your ministry work and prayer; that is, people are being liberated from the shackles of the devil under your ministry. The devil would definitely want to raise or stir some people against you—to quarrel or fight against you without any obvious reason.
b. In such a case you would not need to answer or fight back; know that, It is the effect of your work against the kingdom of darkness. They are trying to fight back or retaliate by making efforts to frustrate you!

VIII. If you operate your ministry or live in an area infested with, or overtaken by, demons and their activities; you may be having disturbances in your dreams, and attacks on your family; because of your impacts in the area.
a. When you experienced this, pray, It is not a thing to be scared of.
b. The most important thing is, make sure you are doing what God has assigned you to do. When you do your work as you are instructed and as It is expected of you—you are faithful in doing it—you hardly sustained any injury even If you are attacked.
c. Also, do not go about and be fighting the powers in the area. Some believe they would have to fight the powers of darkness, deal with demons in the air and everywhere. When you do that, you might have a lot of attacks.
GOD will quite all right stand with you to fight, but you may be wounded. If you are hard so much on the devil, attacking his kingdom through warfare prayers, he would want to make life miserable for you also.
YOU are not assigned primarily to be after the devil in fighting, he is a defeated foe or enemy, yours is to press home the victory we have gotten through Christ. If you faithfully concentrated on your work or ministry, God will deal with every opposition.
d. Bind the demons who might be operating through whoever wants to stand against you (Matthew 16:19; 18:18), and ask God to deal with the persons, the human agents of the devil, who are being used as instruments to quarrel with you or attack you physically (Romans 12:19).
e. If you followed the basic principles we shared in this piece, you would be preserved and your home. If you received any attack at all, It means you have done contrary, or contravened the principle or the instruction given you by God.
f. Whatever you wanted to do, let it be in line with the Word of God, particularly, the new testament.

• Note: Some people want to believe there are more demons in some part of the world than others. But that is far from the truth.

  • The devil's operation is global. He only uses different methods in dealing with the people of each area, city, nation, or continent.
  • The devil operates with deceptions (Ephesians 6:11). He wanted people to believe that he does not exist. Even in the contemporary time, with the extent of the spread of the gospel, preaching and teaching of the Word of God; some still do believe that the devil is not real. That talking or teaching about the devil is a mythology.
  • The truth is, the spiritual realm is real. If you find it difficult to believe the reality of the spiritual realm, you are already under the influence of the devil (Ephesians 2:2).
  • Wiles or tricks are parts of the major weapons the devil uses against those who are under his influence:
"PUT ON THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], SO THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO [successfully] STAND UP AGAINST ALL THE SCHEMES AND THE STRATEGIES AND THE DECEITS OF THE DEVIL" (Ephesians 6:11 Amps).

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
  • The hold of that sickness is destroyed and will not be formed again in Jesus' mighty name.
    Peace.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, congratulations, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
