You nailed it haha - I've been trying to be low key about my X-mas opinions, but this is a good summary... I guess I'll try to remain low key until I can break it down in an animation that's more funny than complain-y. I try not to demolish everyone's fun, but the roots of X-mas isn't Christ, it was known as Saturnalia until a pervert in a pointy hat (Pope Julius) magically proclaimed it to be the birth of Christ (in order to draw more pagans under his authority). Yes, it was a marketing ploy more or less. Add enough gifts and candy and you can get the whole world on board lolz...

I've spent exactly zero this season on gifts, etc., but in a few weeks I'm flying back east to visit family, so that's a financial pressure equal to or greater than gift buying... :-r
