RE: Cityscapephotograhy - tuesday contest

I love Cádiz (CAH - deeth)! I lived just north of the city in Jerez de la Frontera for ahile and made many trips down there on the very economical "Cercanías" train, which cost a mere €6,40 in those days. It's probably higher now.

The city is, of course, well known for it's Carnaval. They also have an annual music festival with many free shows that is amazing.

Nice photos, and thanks for the memories. I'm surprised you didn't add a shot of the Roman amphitheater in there, though!

That's a good one for next time! There wasn't enough time to go there no more. I go by train as well, from el puerto de santa Maria, because that's where I live. Yes i do know the carnival. Not the music festival, but I'll try to find out more about that. Thanks!

I wish I had been able to find a way to stay. I participated in the language auxiliar program for several years and would have preferred to continue living there.

The music festival was very nice, and I believe they do it annually. I think it was before Christmas, but I'm not 100% sure. There was a boys choir singing at the old cathedral that was incredible!

Live is more relaxed here for sure. I don't feel the pressure to achieve something. Like i did in my own country (holland). People live more day by day, than thinking about the future. It fits me quite well ;)

Same here. It's very difficult for non-EU members to move there, though. I'm still hoping to find a way. If you get a chance, visit Ronda. I lived there for a year and it's really one of the most beautiful little cities I've seen :)
