Thanks for doing a good thing, and I totally appreciate your rant here! We have similar issues with "double effects" from gentrification here... the people who work here in regular jobs increasingly move away and commute in because there's less and less affordable housing; at least not affordable to those who make $12/hr. Meanwhile, the people in the $500K "Luxury Condos" seem to think it's some invisible peons' jobs to pick up their garbage...
