My first foray into Coinspot and buying Steem.

in #coinspot7 years ago

After a lot of figurative blood, sweat and tears, I had decided to take the plunge and start investing in Steem from my own bank account using Coinspot.

I started transferring $50AU (it's a minimum, but I figured I could safely lose that and chalk it up to a learning experience if it all went pear shaped) and went through the security procedures (it's easy once you know how, but you have to enter the security code fairly quickly).

I spent $40AU and bought $7.00SBD. I am also using an app called Blockfolio to monitor my "investment". So far it's looking rather rocky for Steem, but I think or at least I hope, that this currency will start to go up again. But technically, that's a bargain!

Well, it worked and I am a lot more confident with the process of buying various shares in Coinspot and will continue to do so, while keeping an eye on the situation.

Glad it went well. Once you're established its much easier to drop a bit extra in, here and there. A year from now you'll have a decent upvote and a solid stash :)

I hope so. It's my first real venture into investing, so naturally I want to see a positive return on that investment. However, I do hope that I can raise my profile here by making helpful material but it's an uphill struggle.

Lol, Pear shaped, my goofs are usually banana shaped like a slip up. I'm toying with the same idea of buying some Steem with Bitcoin.

I use coinspot but you whatever it is that you use to do blocktrades you can do. It depends on what you prefer and will be using more often. I only just started buying bitcoin (you can buy fractions of a bitcoin, something I didn't know before) and bought like $5 worth. It won't do anything right now, but over time with frequent investment I think it might turn into something decent.

I got about $90 of Bitcoin left spending most of it. It was all from faucets along with $800 in Litecoins and Dogecoins. Oh the choices.

What can you spend Litecoins and Dogecoins on?

I've bought investment grade silver bullion using Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin. With the Doge I purchased DogeSilver from the Shibe mint. Plenty of bullion retailers take Bitcoin and some take Litecoin too.
