SLC26-W4 | Hamburger bun.
Hamburger is a staple cuisine love and cherish worldwide, it is frequently seen in restaurant,fast food chain and also prepare by individuals in thier various houses.
The most important ingredient is patty,it could be chicken or beef, served with bun and lettuce, tomatoes, cheese as condiments.
From my experience, hamburger has different tastes and decorations depending on individual choice.
After reading this week course, I was motivated to try something new in my home.
Make your own hamburger buns, they can be potato, sweet potato or pumpkin (include ingredients, quantities and step by step) with my recipe or any other of your preference.
Ingredients used
500 grams of all-purpose wheat flour.
125 grams of mashed potatoes.
175 grams of water.
55 grams of egg.
30 grams of sugar.
10 grams of salt.
3 grams of dried yeast.
25 grams of powdered milk.
30 grams of margarine.
In a large clean container, I added all-purpose wheat flour, salt, sugar, yeast and mashed potatoes, stir to integrate.
Next add the egg, then the water little by little and finally the butter.
I kneaded on a flat surface for 10 to 15 minutes as was instructed by my teacher and obtained a smooth, homogeneous dough.
I covered it with plastic wrap and let it rest in a dark place for 2 hours. The out come was amazing , the dough raised to double the initial size.
Then i cut out my dough in several portions of 90 gram and molded it in balls before placing them on the tray. Then covered to rest for one hour.
After one hour, it has increased more in size, i glazed the surface with beaten eggs, added Oregano topping.
Unluckily for me, there was no electricity supply,I preheated my pot and transfer my bread into it.
I baked for 40 Minute. I remove it when it becomes golden brown.
Include a handwritten identification sign with: username and date.

At the beginning,I was nervous to see the outcome but during preparation, I see that hamburger is simple to prepare, every step was blending,I believe that following my teacher's instructions make my work successful.
At the end, I was delighted when I taste hamburger, the softness and fluffy texture of these bread was out of this world. If you want to know if what I saying is true, try this recipe especially Nigerian. The reason am saying so is that,we often buy hamburger without preparation.
I was satisfied have a soft bread at home in a lovely evening and the follow morning, we use it for our breakfast. My husband and other family members commend my work and this season challenge. It has expanded my knowledge in pastry world.
In your opinion, what should a hamburger have to be perfect?
I believe that,It depends on individual preferences.
For me a hamburger should have a bun dough that is properly kneaded and allowed to rest and raise to give a fluffy effect, having a round shaped golden brown baked bread with a soft texture to bite.
This few should perfect a hamburger 🍔 High quality meat, a soft bun, melted cheese, fresh tomatoes and and flavour sauce.
The basis of a good hamburger is a good bun, good meat and sauces that match, each element is essential to eat a delicious hamburger, with this the taste will be out this world.

Que buenos panes hiciste, se ven muy bien y de seguro estaban muy ricos, sin duda hacer las cosas en casa es mucho mejor, además hay garantía de que lo que usamos lo conocemos, y si queremos hacer algo más saludable pues tenemos la certeza de que es así.
