997 score on Steem retrogames: A tough challenge and a story of persistence
My dear gaming friends, how are you all? I hope you are all doing well. After a long time, I am back in the middle of an old game of love. For several days, I have been missing this game a lot, and I was a little lazy, so do you know that game that I am not playing? #steemretrogames, maybe only gamers like me understand how good it is to play old games sometimes.
Anyway, before starting the game today, I thought, let's play with a little challenge. So first I bought tokens with 2 steam, and I got 10 lives. Before entering the field, I glanced at the leaderboard and saw that someone had already scored quite well. At that moment, a determination came to my mind, today I have to score more than this! I set a target, and I have to reach close to a thousand.
With that, my game started. My entire attention was on the game. I was making every move very carefully, because one mistake means the end of a life. As you know, there is no alternative to concentration in these games. As time went by, my score was increasing, and the excitement was also increasing.
After a lot of difficulty, after repeated attempts, that moment finally came. My game was over, and my final score of 997 appeared on the screen! Ah! What a relief and joy. Although I could not touch a thousand by a little, I am very happy to have come this close. Today's hard work seems to be completely worthwhile. What do you think?

Oh, I liked to read your story very much. It is a marvelous description to score 997 points though it fell short of 1000. I can sense the point of excitement in what you wrote about the challenge, the deliberate actions and then watching your score appear on the screen. It must have been an extremely gratifying moment.
In my case, the ultimate lesson in this scenario is that ambitions make us strive to do our best. You set your goal to 1000 and even though you fell short of it by a little margin, you still made it very close. This tells us that nothing is wasted on trying and concentrating and even when we do not reach the target we hit a spot.
I also enjoyed the fact that you related the game to perseverance in life. In the same way gaming, in life as well we may not necessarily make it to the number we have planned, but even getting near, is an improvement. Continue on, I reckon you will hit the 1000 mark next time.
