I skipped my senior prom. Maybe if they had held it on the Queen Mary I would have made an effort! Meh, probably not. I would love to tour the ship, though! It looks pretty cool.
My senior year it was full on party with no limits at all. The entire class would all be in jail and the faculty and staff of the boat too if it happened like ours nowadays. And it was still the usual High School stuff. I wouldn't mind a bit of a do over. As in i should have left with "Kathy" when she invited me to go to her house at about 4:00 am. Duh! What was i thinking? Oh well...
You're probably right! Now they get in trouble for every little thing. My son had a party when he turned 18 and a couple of the kids were out drinking in the woods (unbeknownst to me). It turned into a whole big thing that they devoted a school board meeting to. I was a bit of an anarchist in high school and couldn't be bothered with school events. Sorry you missed the Kathy boat. Ah, the things that might have been... It does sound like your prom would have been worth attending!

It's so extreme nowadays. I wouldn't want to be a kid with all that pressure. Our schools are like jails now.
They really are. It's a miracle that any of them come out okay.
