RE: Color Challenge Sunday Purple! I nearly forgot! I made this fractal yesterday for today!!
I absolutely totally agree about @woodywood143! And I totally nominate you to invite him and make sure he's directed through the steps.
Thanks for the tips re the naming!
I have no idea what I'm doing with the Nonlinear Tab ... except playing !! I just kind of flip things around and add transformation layers and mess with the Nonliner tab for each one and then go ...
"oh cool! Save Now!!"
or "Oh Shoot! undo undo undo!!"
Totally loving being able to create multiple snapshots as I morph stuff. It makes it so easy to step back or create multiple branches. Also loving the Random Batch and the Batch Renderer. Yes. I'm being picky about which flame/symmetry/gradient.
The camera takes me right back to Second Life and my very first one week of playing with fractals. No. one doesn't have anything to do with the other ... unless you count that the person telling me to go download different programs was also in Second Life.
My PC just couldn't handle the programs I liked and the others were ... boring, stodgy and inflexible. Obviously, none of them were JWildfire. Mandelbulb is on my hit list -- that was one I liked but couldn't handle.
I am happy that you're interested in getting your teeth into a bigger chunk of the program.
There's loads of tutorials on YouTube if you're interested. I've made a playlist of them and if you're able to get past some people's voices and unscripted narrative, then you'll be ok!
You should also check out the guy that I learned a lot from about MB3D, his name is Don Whittaker and he is a good instructor.
I have been trying to make some new tutorials for JWF, but I always seem to have other stuff that takes my time!!! Hopefully soonish!
I did do a bunch of screenshots to do a pdf, but that's as far as it's gotten. 😮
Turn the screenies into a series on Steemit?
I can see there is so so so much to this. And even where it can feel awkward to make adjustments it is still nicely responsive. For a free program with an interface developed by devs, JWildfire is just shut my mouth amazing!
Thanks Marillaanne, I will probably be doing something like that, making a series of tutorials on JWF here.
Sorry for the delay in answering!
A lot happening in the family right now, father in-law is very ill.
Very sorry to hear about your father in law. Illness in the family rearranges everything.
As to the delay, what delay?
