Color Challenge Monday Red!

Cute red vespa -scooter in Italian!- for today's Color Challenge, in the amazing city of Brindisi, in Italy. This is my first steem post about it, the 'city of my heart' as I call it! Me being partly from Corfu Island, since my grandpa was born there (north-west of Greece) we would go every year with my family as it was only a 7hour ferry ride away! -Unfortunately life in Scandinavia doesn't let me visit that often anymore... :(

What most people don't know about Brindisi is that once upon a time it was one of the biggest Italian ports, together with Otranto (again in Southern Italy), way long before Bari and Ancona evolved, or even existed! Another interesting fact about Brindisi is that it was the capital of Italy during WWII !!

It's a relatively small city of 88.000 inhabitants, still a port city but not that important as it was until the late 80's, beginning of 90's. The most amazing fact though about Brindisi -and kind of strange as well!- is that it's a city that never changes! That's why I'm always nostalgic and feel like home and back to my childhood when I visit!
