Not if you marinate them well while still living. Or stuff them well like ducks raised for foie gras.

Pulls basket up and realizes the old man ate the canary...you forgot to feed them for a couple days.
I dont butter mine, they get too slippery. I balsamic glaze them like the good Italian girl I am.
