Just draw whatever you see or what comes to your mind. You dont necessarily need to get the exact image.

good advice. That's basically what cartoonists do—get the message across. They are generally pretty easy to follow. It's definitely a gift and a talent, though. Some of us are born with it, some can develop it, and others, like me, just keep trying anyway. :)

Yeah, I used to do a lot of it up and through my last year of high school. In fact, the graphic novel I serialized and published last year was written and draw after I'd graduated from high school. That was definitely my last major project, and I think probably the last of my drawing for quite a while.

I've found it's not so easy to go and pick up, and since I'm self taught, I don't really have any technical points to stand on, and it definitely does not come as easy as i would like it. I've tried to develop my own style, something unique that I can do naturally and consistently, but so far, it hasn't happened. :)
