Conflict and Humanitarian Crises

Gaza:

The humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains dire. UN data indicates that only a tiny fraction of agricultural land is accessible and undamaged, contributing to famine-like conditions. There are also reports of an Israeli demand that NGOs provide sensitive information about Palestinian employees, which could force aid agencies to shut down. An aid truck overturning has also led to casualties.

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC):

Hopes for peace have been shaken by a surge in attacks on civilians by armed groups, including the M23 militia, in the eastern region of the country.

Syria:

A ceasefire in Sweida, Syria, is under strain as violence and issues with aid access persist.
