Small government works on paper, but we actually have the record of history to demonstrate the futility of that. The market actually works in real life despite constant interference from government. Right now, people only tolerate the government because they believe some parts of their lives require a territorial monopoly in violence controlling things. Then they bicker over which things need to be controlled. That is the Democrat and Republican false dichotomy. I question the premise of their arguments for monopoly anywhere.
