RE: I Love Memes!

Conservative principles are small gov, low taxes, adhering to tradition and a strong moral foundation. I think politics in general is about consolidating power to enact your agenda (which is why I want gov so small it wouldn’t even matter the agenda). Not a fan of the bump stock ban, happy it was never legislated into law though. I have zero issue with Trump being Trump as far as him tweeting. As far as increasing the deficit Trump gets an F. I voted for Trump mostly so he would lower taxes, mission accomplished on that front, everything else is gravy.

If conservative principles are small government and low taxes, they have failed. Even after Trump's tax cuts, we are still being extorted and regulated to an outrageous degree.

America wasn't built on tradition, it was built on radical change as the conservative monarchy was overthrown in favor of liberal independence. Tradition is not inherently wise and just. Monarchy, slavery, state religion, and other injustices were traditional. Now, the bipartisan expansion and consolidation of central government power is justified based on precedent and tradition, too.

I have a strong moral foundation. Government cannot. The incentives of political power are all immoral. This is why politicians lie, steal, and cheat at every turn. Governments necessarily operate through theft and murder. They are racketeers and mafias writ large. That is their inescapable nature.

What do we need a territorial monopoly government to do that cannot be done by other voluntary means? How is government immune to the waste and abuse inherent in every monopoly? How can a democratic republic actually confer authority from strangers to strangers over other strangers? This cannot be moral.

Believe me, I am no fan of the self-professed liberals of today either, but the conservative movement is all talk and no walk where it really counts.

I agree Republicans, for the most part, are a bunch of ineffectual pansies. So what do you propose anarcho-capitalism? Personally, I don't see Trump as a cure-all he was just the lesser of two evils. I can't even imagine if we had a president Hillary, it would be a nightmare.

The lesser of two evils is still evil, and the "lesser" part is always just conjecture in that case. If we had Hillary, maybe the Republicans would still be pretending to hold conservative principles. And I do favor market anarchism as a far better decentralized solution to government.

You do realize it would never work? Personally I could care less what you think, honestly you are kind of a blowhard. Who obviously sees himself more intelligent than he actually is. I'm bored of you, fuck off buddy!

I was once a staunch Republican. I began examining the very preconceptions you stated as "conservative values." I reached my current conclusions as a result of that honest examination. We see the market working all around us every day. It's not theory, it's fact. We see government interference in the market stifling entrepreneurs and supporting cronies. We see police abuse, military adventurism, and ever-increasing red tape. These are associated with the right at least as much as with the left. The Democrats and Republicans have both utterly failed to support liberty. It's time to try something new.

Congratulations, you know how to repeat libertarian platitudes. 🙄 I assure you, if we abolished the government we’d only end up creating another government. Human beings are inherently political.

You said we need a smaller government. How small is just right, and what specific services require a government monopoly?

Humans are social creatures. No argument there. And humans organize together in order to cooperate and solve problems. No argument there, either. Neither of these statements imply the necesessity or inevitability of a territorial monopoly in violence, AKA a government. Politics as we know it is about coercion, not consent. We didn't want Hillary because she promised coercion. You said Trump's coercion was less bad, but in calling it the lesser of two evils, you hardly demonstrated his virtue as ruler. Representation is still a sham, and the zero-sum game of electoral politics is a terrible way to resolve anything.

You’re just like the dummies who say communism works on paper, no it doesn't how can you just remove human ambition and say it works on paper. The same problem with libertarianism, there will always be ppl vying for control, not through their own acumen but through some weird sense of control over other ppl and there will always be ppl who will let them through stupidity or just a sheer sense of laziness. What really needs to happen is the fed needs to be abolished, the whole new deal needs to be scrapped and the Constitution needs to be ratified stating clearly there are limits on the federal government in dealing with the people and states. None of this is going to happen, what is going to happen is this government will run up the deficit until the borrowing terms will be so bad we will default on our debt (us bonds). We won't be the first nation or the last. Hopefully, I'll be dead.
