About Making Brownies

in #cooking18 days ago

Greetings, hitchhikers that let 'em cook!

First off, I'm pretty sure I've already written about Making Brownies here in my blog, but I digress. Maybe I posted it in a Community? Only time will tell.

Therefore, here I am once again to try and save in this unique blockchain my Brownies recipe. To be fair, I started making them with my ex more than 7 years ago (time does fly, huh), but as the years passed and I continued making it, it's also mine.

The difficult days of the COVID-19 pandemic inspired me to get back to baking, and I can safely state that it aided a lot in keeping my mental health not as bad. From all of the bad that happened, at least there are some good things.

Today's brownie, and this post, is dedicated to Ln's daughter, today's birthday gurl, Krol!

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs;
  • 100g of butter;
  • 85g of 60% cocoa chocolate (one bar);
  • 1 3/4 cups of flour;
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • 1/2 cup of chocolate powder;
  • 1 small spoon of vanilla extract;
  • a bit of salt.

How to Prepare

  • Put the sugar, chocolate powder, vanilla extract and the eggs in a big bowl, mixing well;

  • Mix the butter in, I like melting it first in the microwave;

  • Finally, mix in the flour progressively, adding around only 1/2 cup at a time, to make sure it is homegeneous;

  • Let it rest for an hour under a towel and away from sunlight;

  • Cut the chocolate bar into small pieces to mix in the batter;

  • Preheat the oven at 200°C, and grease a tray to put the batter in;

  • Put in the tray with the battered mix around 25 minutes in the preheat oven, checking around the 15 and 20 minutes marks;

  • Take it out and leave it be for around 10 minutes;

  • Eat and smile (:
