How I Spent My Day | 15-06-2025
Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog. It is another day of the week, and as always, I will be sharing with you all the story of how I spent my previous day. Please read through the various activities I completed for the day.
I woke up quite early since it was a Sunday morning, and I had plans to also start working on the new topic for my assessment. With that in mind, I decided to start everything before I prepared myself to go to the church. It was the solemnity of the most holy Trinity Sunday and, as usual, a big feast for the Catholic Church.
For that reason, I went to Mass much earlier and then met with a few friends after dismissal because that was the only opportunity I normally had to meet up with friends. When I came back home, I decided to microwave the only leftover food I had, and then I ate it because I was so hungry.
Immediately, I was done with that, I went ahead to start working on my assessment once again, gathering relevant literature because I needed to review at least 20 pieces of literature for the project I am working on. Normally, after the entire project, we are expected to publish the work, and that is why I am working diligently to see how I can be able to achieve that goal.
While doing my research, I felt a bit tired and sleepy, and then I noticed that I needed a little rest before I could continue. Then I decided to take a nap for about an hour before I woke up, and then came back to face the studies again. I was able to put some of the articles I will be working on in a folder inside my RefWorks.
I also had the opportunity to talk to a few friends through chat and video calls yesterday because one of my kid sisters from afar chatted with me, and since it has been a while since we last talked, I gave her an audience, and we talked a lot, and she was so happy seeing me once again.
I also had a meeting with the leaders of various departments from the Ebonyi state scholarship cohorts. It was a beautiful meeting as a discussion with regards to our PhD programme was held, and we were told to prepare ourselves and possibly look for universities around the UK that can be able to take us for the programme if we don't want the University of Greater Manchester.
So those are all the various activities I carried out for the day, my dear friends. After that, I went to rest my head because I knew that the next day would be hectic for me since I would be going to work. So, guys, that was how my day went.

Hey @simonnwigwe, thanks for sharing a glimpse into your Sunday! It's great to see how you balance your faith, friendships, academic pursuits, and family connections. The dedication you're showing towards your PhD project, especially aiming for publication, is seriously commendable. Managing research, literature reviews, and still making time for loved ones – that's impressive! And that scholarship cohort meeting sounds exciting; the possibility of studying in the UK is a fantastic opportunity. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your progress with the project and any updates on the UK university front. Keep up the great work!
