Crypto Price Action is Just Different

in #crypto6 days ago

The crypto market has grown from its infant years and is now becoming a young adult in a lot of ways. One of which I think is price action.

I'm going to use Ethereum as an example. The market is just more efficient with price, the follow through and moonshots aren't what they once were. Don't get me wrong, we still see sick pumps and meme coin gambling, but on a whole things are...well, more chill.

Ethereum new high and then....nothing..

Ethereum made a new high 4 weeks ago, then immediately pulled back and has been chugging along sideways since. In the wild west days of crypto bull markets a new high would be made and then price would keep ripping until the eventually hard sell off after price ripped further than anyone thought it could.

Again, I'm not saying this doesn't happen at all. It just isn't as juiced and volatile as it once was. Heck, even Bitcoin can be looked at for this. The last few new highs have not led to crazy moves, but sell offs and consolidations.

It's kind of feeling like a maturing market. Look at crypto getting all grown up!
